Did you know that referral candidates are 3-4 times more likely to be hired than non-referral candidates? These programs often incentivize employees to refer their friends or people that are “like” them. This creates a problem for those of us who are underrepresented and struggle to get our foot in the door.
As leaders of Muslim Women in Tech, we’ve found that our members can benefit from a network of referrals, not just within our own community, but from the larger Muslim community in the tech industry. With limited access to opportunities in this field, we’ve created an online platform to connect anyone in the job search with Muslims working in technology across the globe. Let’s use this opportunity to support each other and create connections that uplift our community members.
